Dr. Robert Brooks
Since graduating from Life University's College of Chiropractic, Dr. Robert (R.J) Brooks has dedicated a large portion of his life to educating the public on the extraordinary benefits of chiropractic and the chiropractic lifestyle by empowering people to live in a healthier, drug free and painless environment.
Dr. Brooks has been the Official Team Chiropractic Physician for the AFL's Columbus Destroyers for the past 5 seasons and has worked closely with the staff of the Columbus Blue Jackets and Nationwide Area. His office and staff are highly trained in dealing with sports-related injuries from professional athletes down to school children and weekend warriors.
As an owning partner and director of Chiropractic & Physical Therapy Centers of Ohio, Dr. Brooks is an active member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Ohio State Chiropractic Association as well as the Ohio Chiropractic Society. He has practiced in the United States, as well as in Europe, treating thousands of patients ranging in age from 2 days old to people in their late 90's, providing dramatic results to a variety of different spinal, musculoskeletal and health related conditions. Dr. Brooks believes in educating his patients so that they are able to make informed decisions with regard to their health and health related problems. He continually stresses the importance of Chiropractic care as a natural, drug-free approach to maintaining good health, and the prevention of disease and injury.
Dr. Brooks has taken an active and scientific approach in the research for the advancement of the Chiropractic profession. He is continually educating himself through postgraduate courses and certifications to be able to provide his patients with the most advanced, and reliable procedures available today. Dr. Brooks is an expert in the field of Whiplash and Spinal trauma relating from automobile accidents and has advanced degrees in Electrodiagnostic Interpretation and Procedures, Physical Therapy Rehabilitation and is a Certified Independent Medical Examiner, a Certified Permanent Impairment and Evaluation Examiner, as well as a Certified Ohio Bureau of Workers Compensation File Reviewer. He is currently in the certification process for Chiropractic Sports Physician and Diplomat Status.
Dr. Brooks has been a member of the Volunteer Doctor's of America for the past 7 years. During his tenure, he has spent numerous hours lecturing to local businesses, social clubs, schools, police and fire departments, as well as non-profit organizations, the federal government, the cities of Columbus and surrounding areas. He enjoys educating and teaching people of all ages on such topics as health and wellness, stress, work related safety, peak performance and injury prevention.
